Returns Policy

Before requesting a return, please note the following key points:

  • All returns must be approved in advance and require a valid Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number.
  • Returns are accepted only on unopened, unused items in original packaging.
  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs.
  • Approved returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee.

 

All merchandise must be returned in new, unused condition, exactly as received. Items removed from their original packaging are not eligible for return or exchange under any circumstance. All Trim and Tassels products are packaged in clear, see-through bags, making it easy to determine whether an item has been opened. Once opened or worn, the item cannot be returned, and there are no exceptions to this policy.

Final sale items are not returnable or exchangeable for any reason.

 

 

Graduation Gowns & Sizing Responsibility

Graduation gown measurements are very exact, and customers are responsible for measuring carefully and ordering according to our provided sizing instructions. Gowns cannot be ordered to try on, and Trim and Tassels is not responsible for sizing errors made at the time of ordering. Where returns are permitted, normal return fees and conditions will apply.

 

 

Damages, Shortages & Timeframes

Any claims for damaged or missing merchandise must be reported within 7 days of delivery. Requests for returns must also be made within 7 days from the delivery date to the shipping address provided on the order.

Merchandise may not be returned without prior authorization.

All approved returns require a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number, which must be obtained by contacting a Trim and Tassels representative. The RMA number must be clearly written on the outside of the shipping box. Returns sent without an RMA, or without the RMA visible on the outer box, will be refused.

Once an RMA is issued, the returned merchandise must be received within 7 business days. Failure to meet this deadline will result in forfeiture of the return.

All returns must be sent freight prepaid. Trim and Tassels does not pay for return shipping, and original shipping and handling charges are non-refundable.

 

 

Restocking Fees, Refunds & Order Adjustments

Approved returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee. In-store pickup orders that are canceled or not picked up are also subject to a 20% restocking fee.

Refunds are issued to the original form of payment. Please allow 6–8 business days for return processing once the merchandise is received.

No more than 10% of an order may be returned. If a return affects quantity-based pricing tiers, your order pricing will be adjusted accordingly. Under no circumstance is Trim and Tassels’ liability greater than the purchase price of the merchandise itself.

 

 

Color Variations & Vendor Differences

Actual merchandise color may not appear exactly as shown on your computer screen. Trim and Tassels is not responsible for color variations caused by monitor or device settings. We also cannot match colors to other vendors, as materials and dye lots vary between manufacturers.

 

 

Cancellations & Custom Orders

All canceled orders are subject to a non-negotiable cancellation fee to cover payment processing costs. The fee is 4% for PayPal orders and 8% for credit card orders.

Custom-made products require prepayment to begin production and are final sale. There are no refunds or exchanges for items customized to your specifications.

 

 

What to Include with Your Return

Please include all of the following when returning merchandise:

  • Your RMA number clearly written on the outside of the box
  • A copy of your original invoice
  • A note including your contact information and whether you are requesting a refund or replacement
